The client, a leading French media group, faced the challenge of addressing the concerns of shareholders and other stakeholders regarding the company’s lack of reporting on social and environmental matters. Additionally, the client needed to comply more fully with French regulatory requirements for social and environmental reporting.
Our approach
On the client’s behalf, a team of PricewaterhouseCoopers sustainability reporting specialists:
- Helped the client define appropriate performance indicators for each of the company’s businesses based on regulatory requirements, best practice in the industry, and internal capabilities
- Mapped the performance indicators to the internal functions responsible for providing the necessary performance data
- Designed a practical tool for the collection and consolidation of the performance data
- Assisted the company with the sustainability content development, which was included in the annual report
The outcome
