The chemicals sector is facing challenging times; sector CEOs are less confident about revenue growth over the next 12 months, with less than two-fifths (39 percent) of executives very confident of achieving growth, compared to half (50 percent) globally across industries.
Chemicals sector CEOs are also more concerned than executives across all industries about a number of potential threats to business growth, including low-cost competition, over-regulation, intellectual property rights, climate change, energy security, scarcity of natural resources, downturns in major economies and availability of key skills.
