By recognising the urgent need to take actions and address the climate crisis, PwC made a global science-based commitment to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, in line with the Paris Agreement. This commitment involves setting policies and adopting changes to reduce our emissions, running regional initiatives to help develop and rehabilitate our environment, as well as supporting our clients and suppliers to also reduce their emissions. We believe that by working together, we can achieve a meaningful impact and create a healthier world for our future generations.

PwC actively joined the Dubai Can Movement initiated by the Dubai Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. This sustainability initiative seeks to reduce single-use plastic water bottles and work towards a more sustainable future.
Dubai Can encourages individuals to use refillable bottles with access to free and safe drinking water across Dubai.
You can find our sponsored drinking fountain in DIFC!
Supporting our communities and protecting our environment are one of the core pillars of our Corporate Sustainability agenda in the region.
With the potential drastic impact and significant consequences of the climate change, our PwC volunteers continue to engage in a series of environmental initiatives and campaigns.
These efforts include beach or road cleanups, tree planting, animal care and protection initiatives, as well as awareness campaigns across the region to call for action.
As global members for RE100, we are proud to announce that our Egypt, Jordan and UAE offices are now powered by 100% renewable electricity from solar sources.
It is a major step towards achieving our goal of NetZero by 2030 and as countries move closer to embrace clean electricity, we shall continue to look for further opportunities to decarbonise our operations.
